Is my data really private?+
Yes. We collect an email for sign-in plus anonymous page-view counts (path + country, no IP, no email, no user ID) — that's it. No SSN, no ID, no real name required. We never sell data and we don't run ads. When you delete your account, we hold your data for a 14-day grace period in case you change your mind, then permanently erase every row.
What can I deduct as a cash worker?+
More than most people realize. Dancers can deduct costumes, makeup, hair, heels, house fees, and travel between clubs. Bartenders and servers can deduct uniforms, slip-resistant shoes, certifications, and tip-pool tools. Drivers can deduct mileage, tolls, parking, car washes, and platform fees. Anyone working for cash can deduct the business portion of their phone, supplies, and professional development. Fetti tracks every category automatically so the receipts are ready at tax time.
Do I need a bank account or card to start?+
No. The free tier is genuinely free — no card, no trial trap, no shift cap. Upgrade to Pro when you want the income verification letter, PDF income summary, quarterly tax reminders, and the rest of the export and analytics extras.
Does Fetti work without internet?+
Once Fetti is loaded, your shift drafts save to your device and sync the next time you're online — clubs, kitchens, and basements all get spotty service, so the logger keeps working through dropouts. The first cold-start of the app does need a connection.
Is this an iPhone/Android app?+
It's a Progressive Web App (PWA). Open fetti.tips in Safari or Chrome, tap Share → Add to Home Screen, and it launches like a native app.
Can I export my data?+
Yes. Full JSON export from settings, a printable PDF income summary for landlords or lenders, and a signed income verification letter (Pro).
What if I'm on W-2, not 1099?+
Fetti handles both. Tell us your shift income type (onboarding or settings) and the tax engine uses the right rules — FICA already withheld via W-2, or self-employment tax for 1099.
Will Fetti report my income to anyone?+
No. Fetti never reports your earnings to the IRS, your employer, a club, a platform, or anyone else. Your shifts and tips stay in your account. The PDF income summary and Pro income-verification letter are documents YOU choose to share (e.g., with a landlord) — we don't send them anywhere on your behalf.
Can my manager, club, or platform see my data?+
No. Fetti accounts aren't tied to your employer. We never share your data with venues, clubs, rideshare platforms, or anyone else. Nobody at a venue can see your numbers — not via any integration, not via support, not via export.
Do I need a bank account, SSN, or ID to start?+
No. Sign-up is email-only — no SSN, no ID, no real name, no bank account, no card. The free tier is genuinely free with no shift cap. The tax engine asks for filing status and (if Pro) optional W-2 figures, but those stay encrypted in your account and we never use them for anything but your dashboard math.
What is the 'No Tax on Tips' deduction and does it apply to me?+
The One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBBA, signed July 2025) lets tipped workers deduct up to $25,000 of qualified tip income from federal taxable income for tax years 2025 through 2028. The IRS published a list of ~70 covered occupations in 2026 — bartenders, servers, dancers (under performers), valet, taxi/rideshare drivers, massage therapists, hair/nail/tattoo professionals, and delivery drivers are all on it. Fetti's tax engine has the phase-out math built in: single filers phase out between $150k–$200k MAGI, married-joint between $300k–$350k.
How does Fetti calculate the No Tax on Tips savings?+
Your dashboard shows the estimated federal income-tax savings from the NTOT deduction in real time, based on the gross tips you've logged year-to-date. The math runs on your gross tip income (the IRS 'qualified tips' base, before house fees and tip-outs) so it agrees with what the deduction lets you take on Schedule 1. Once you log $25,000 in gross tips for the year you're maxed out; beyond that the deduction stays at $25k regardless of how much more you earn. We show the cap progress so you can see where you are.
I get tipped in cash. Does NTOT apply to me?+
Yes — cash tips count as qualified tips for the NTOT deduction as long as they're reported as income. That's where Fetti shines: every cash tip you log builds the qualified-tip total that flows into the deduction. The IRS still requires the income to be reported on your return; the deduction reduces what's taxable, it doesn't make the income invisible. We never report your earnings to anyone — that's between you and your tax preparer.
