Privacy Policy

Fetti is a money tracker built for cash workers. We take your privacy seriously because your income is your business — not ours to share, sell, or analyze beyond what's necessary to operate the service.

This is a draft template, not legal advice. Have a lawyer review before launch.

What we collect

• Email address — used solely for sign-in (magic link) and transactional messages (receipts, account notices). We will never market to you without your opt-in.
• Optional display name — only if you choose to enter one in Settings. You may use a stage name or leave it blank.
• Shift data you log — date, venue, gross earnings, fees, tip-outs, and any notes/ratings you add.
• Expense data you log — date, amount, category, description, and (if uploaded) receipt images.
• Settings — monthly goal, tax filing status, default venue.
• Subscription data — if you upgrade to Pro, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your payment details. We never see or store full card numbers.

What we do NOT collect

• We do not collect your real name, SSN, or government ID.
• We do not collect your physical address.
• We do not track you across the web with third-party advertising cookies.
• We do not sell your data to anyone, ever, for any reason. Full stop.

How we use your data

• To show you your own dashboard, charts, and tax estimates.
• To send you transactional emails (sign-in, receipts).
• To process subscription payments through Stripe (when applicable).
• Aggregated, anonymized usage stats may be used to improve the product. These stats can never be linked back to you.

Who we share data with

• Stripe — only payment data for Pro subscribers. Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified.
• Resend — only your email address and the body of transactional messages we send you.
• Our hosting provider (Vercel) and database provider (Neon) — they store the data but cannot read individual records without compromising us first.
• Law enforcement — only when compelled by a valid subpoena or court order, and only after we've exhausted reasonable objections.

Your rights

• Access — you can view all of your data in the app at any time, and export your full income summary as a PDF.
• Deletion — you can delete your account from Settings → Danger zone. This permanently erases all your data immediately. We do not retain backups beyond 30 days.
• Correction — every shift, expense, and venue can be edited or deleted directly in the app.
• Portability — your data is yours. Email support@fetti.tips if you need a JSON export.

Data security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Database connections require TLS. Sessions are signed with a server secret. We follow standard industry practices but no system is 100% secure — if a breach happens, we will notify affected users within 72 hours.

Children

Fetti is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that affects how your data is used, we'll email you and give you the chance to delete your account before the change takes effect.
